Parental Control
Apart from the security of being able to know what is actually going on in your child’s life, parental control technologies enable you as a parent to control “how”, “how often”, “when” and “with whom” your children communicate, share and interact with via their mobile phone, connected devices or on the web. They allow you to identify areas of concern in your child’s life, and intervene before things get out of hand.
As parents we probably all have different views regarding our child’s Internet use, particularly what it is that we’d be prepared to expose our child to online. That said, even the most liberal of us would cringe at some of the information, ideas, suggestions, images and access that is out there. Parental controls are not meant to stifle our children or deny them knowledge or freedom. They’re there to ensure that our kids are not exposed to things that they’re not yet ready to deal with. They’re also there to protect our kids from predators and others that seek to deceive and exploit our innocent children.
